SmokTech 6.0ml U-DCT - New & Improved DCT
Description
SmokTech's famous Dual Coil Cartomizer placed inside of a clear tank that increases capacity to 6.0ml.
The upgraded design includes an extra cap to screw on after inserting the cartomizer to hold it firmly in place.
Compatible with eGo/eGo-T batteries, Bomber, Lambo, VMax and other mods with eGo or 510 connections
These include either low (1.5ohm) or standard (2.4ohm) resistance dual coil cartomizers pre-drilled with one 1.5mm hole to allow easy wicking from the tank.

This are a great product. Low maintenance and have had the carts last for weeks. the locking ring makes a huge difference. I have yet to have a leak and have several filled. Great taste and vapor! Like I said, I have packedd the Vivi Nova's away for a long while.

My first tank, bought by my wife as a present on a whim due to a Christmas Special. Went with the 2.4ohm option. Been looking at tanks for some time after solely using clearomizers and tank-atomizers.
First impressions out of the box... solid construction everything fit together really nicely, felt well-built. The locking bottom ring is nice and eliminates the problem of accidentally pulling the carto out and spilling juice. Easy enough to fill after watching a how-to vid online.
Screwed it onto my Ego-C Twist and set it on the lowest voltage and began to vape (75-25 PG/VG mix). Not much vapor production at all, and the flavor seemed muted and off-tasting. Incremental steps upward in voltage didnt give any increase in vapor production or quality of flavor... only increased temperature of the vapor to the point where it was uncomfortable to vape.
I've used the same liquids in my Smoktech Redux (2.4ohm atomizer heads) and Ego-C Type B and have the expected flavor and vapor production.
I'll be calling their customer service soon in an attempt to troubleshoot things further, but until then I wouldnt recommend to someone with a similar setup.

Provari Problems, but solid tank

I planned on using this with my Provari, but the fit is so tight, air can't get through the Carto. Solid construction, Confident it will not come apart (like cartos can) and does not leak for me.

Got the SmokTank XL DCT because I liked the idea of having the cartomizer and tank locked-in on my heavy ProVari. Didn't want the tank slipping off accidently because I grabbed it wrong. Without the locking ring the tank system fits on the ProVari with close clearance. I would have to say this is probably just like SmokTek's original 6ml SmokTank XL. With the locking ring in place the SmokTank bottoms out on the ProVari's outer flange and because both the ProVari and the SmokTank are very well made they create an excellent seal and no draw can occur. Additionally the 510 connector portion cannot make proper contact and therefore cannot energize the SmokTank XL DCT. I modified my ProVari by taking the outer rim/flange down about one millimeter to the point that there was approximately a 0.1mm gap all the way around. Original cartomizer was not overly impressive. Replaced after two tank loads with a dual coil, two hole, 1.5ohm replacement cartomizer and I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. I would have taken off the one star because of the ProVari mating issue but that's not the tank system's fault. The SmokTank XL DCT is very well made. Replacement cartomizers from SmokTek are of a great variety of resistances, number of holes, and coil combinations to suit any vapers taste if the available varity from MFS doesn't meet your needs.

I've been using CE5 & Redux and expected this to be an upgrade from them, but this is not at all. Wimpy output, clumsy to load (although with a tank that size, you won't need to do so very much). At the same time I ordered this I also got the VV Nova, and that IS an upgrade from the CE5 & Redux (although I still like them just fine).
