originally bought the "Joyetech eVIC 2600mAh Mod Battery w/ Easy Head" replaced the Easy Head with this after accidently breaking it. it has so many cool options. the MVR software is OK, but you can really tell it was made by someone who doesn't use English as their primary language.

Works great with protank 3. Like the vv option.

After all kinds of problems I'm back to the eVic Variable Mod and happy. It started when the first one quit working after over a year. First I got the Easy Head, thinking I was getting the Variable, yuck, then They were out so got Sid, yuck, but finally I found the Variable and I love it. In fact I'm buying an extra to keep as backup. It's a bit pricy, but to me worth it.

Recently I had to fly on a business trip. I needed something that was A) a little less pipe-bomb looking than my ProVari and B) easier to charge than lugging a battery charger as well, so I picked up this head to go on my "eGo-T upgrade" 18650 tube and it performs well. It is lighter to carry and easier to charge, but with my RSST the weight distribution is odd and it's not quite as durable as my ProVari, but it does what it needs to do and does it well. If it kept reading the atomizer ohms every time you fired and adjusted to keep the same Wattage it would be better.

To begin, I have a ProVari and ProVari Mini, both version V2.5. They are Stainless Steel and very nice. They will produce a lot of power. They can be repaired, and are a long term investment. However, they are very heavy, and somewhat clunky to set voltage, and check atomizer resistance, and only have a 510 connector.
This brings me to the eVic. It is light, uses an 18650 battery, and has more features then you will ever need. It is easy to set, and I can see the settings for voltage, watts, the atomizer ohms, and remaining battery on one screen. And, I can screw on an eGo-C head with no issue.
I guess the downside for some may be the limit of 11 watts. But that really isn't an issue for me, as I rarely go above 7.5 watts.
All in all, a great unit. Even though Joyetech did lower the watt limit from 15 to 11 watts with the update, that will probably keep the dependability high.
I like toys, and while the ProVari is a work of art, the eVic is a workhorse, that I use more often. It's just easier the carry around the house.
