  1. Good RBA, Excellent for the price

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jun 2014

Good solid deck, no leaks anywhere (once you put a plug in the fill hole). I had a problem at first. there were no instructions on the assembly/disassembly of the tank. The steel sleeve over the glass was attached firmly and I was not sure if it was a press fit, screw fit or a swedge fitting. I asked for help from MFS and was told that the sleeve just slid off. After trying to slide it off with everything from a chamois skin and hand pressure to a jewelers hammer and wooden pin to a peening hammer and cold chisel I found that it was a screw fitting. Once I figured that out everything was hunkey-dorie and everything works well. Beautifully finished stainless steel throughout and excellent O rings. Great QAQC! just a little too tight on the screwed on sleeve and no exploded diagram or breakdown instructions! Tanks, guys!

Great quality, no leaks, and even a rebuild newbie like me could do it. Produces great flavor and vapor. Love it

  5. Excellent RBA, especially for the price

This was only my second attempt at doing a rebuild, so I was very happy (and relieved) that this one worked out so well. Cleaned it really well with unscented dish detergent & warm water, and it was easy to reassemble. It took a bit of work to get it right - only because I'm inexperienced - but with good results. Vapes great, and absolutely no leaks. Very pleased, and may get another one.

  6. First RBA - Very Pleased

Posted by Dave on 3rd May 2014

This is my first rebuildable, never even bothered with a drip.

The clone has a machine oil smell, but some degreasing dish soap took care of that (I can't find my iso alcohol). Really not a problem. The real deal should be washed too, according to Doc Dave.

I like the draw, and I still get plenty of vapor.

I tried the stock SS mesh wick, didn't like it. Now I'm using a longer 2mm silica wick dropped into both of the wick holes (U-wick, I guess), with one coil at 1.2 ohms positioned directly over the third hole (30ga kanthal). Had some leaking when I used only one wick hole in this manner, now I have none.

Seems that if I flip it upside down, it drips some juice through that third hole directly onto the coil. I think this is too cool. It takes a long, long time before the drip turns into a leak (walked away for 30 mins with it upside down, noticed some liquid in my glass tip, not leaking onto the towel yet tho), and it never leaks on its side.

Plenty of vapor, no dry hits yet. Gonna see how long this lasts before I try a dual coil.

  7. Steam Punk

Love the Steam Punk looks of this and on my Maraxus it's a real eye-catcher
