  1. Its an ok battery

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jun 2014

The battery is only 320 mah and with the Bluetooth on and vaping at the same time, the battery can die fast. The whole thing seems to be made of plastic. Obviously excluding the top connection. So it is very light weight. The functionality of Bluetooth is nice, I've only used a couple times. You may be able to go a full hour of vaping and Bluetooth with battery fully charged but that's it. It's a cool thing to have almost as a novelty item. But as a fully functional battery with Bluetooth it's not that functional. Maybe just as a battery you could get a full day of moderate vaping. I hope in the future someone will release a lot better battery with Bluetooth. Maybe something with a 1,000 to 2,000 mah battery. So I would reccomend this product as a novelty item.

  2. A quaint gimick, but average all-around

Posted by Craig T on 7th Jun 2014

Had to give this thing a try to see what it was all about. Overall, once you get all the features tested out, it's really pretty average.

Initially, it is very light-weight (I wondered if the battery was installed or not, but given the small size of the battery - this makes sense). A very "plastic-y", light-duty feel to it. I would be afraid to bump, knock or drop it - feels like it would break easily.

The clearo is pretty nice - vapes pretty well with no flooding. Holds 1.6ml, BCC, plastic tube, plastic textured mouthpiece gives me a "rubberized" feel. Atty is replaceable, which is nice.

The battery is only 350mAh (about the same as an XL 510), and after hard testing (constant vaping with bluetooth on - using features), the battery ran fully down in 2.5 hours.

Now for the Bluetooth features. The controls are easy to work - 3 buttons. Center button is power on/off, answer call/hang up, redial last #, and pause/play music. The + button is simply vol up/next song while the - button is vol down/last song. With that said, the speaker is pretty substandard for playing music - most of my songs were choppy, cutting out quite a bit at any volume (not much range). The phone features were a little better. The speaker is fine for listening to a voice, and although the mic gave me a bit of an echo, it wasn't horrible (I could understand what was being said). The unit vibrates when a call comes in. Handy if you're vaping and don't want to pull your phone out. The bluetooth range is a bit lacking - pretty much line-of-sight and up to maybe 20' (in my test, anyway). Unfortunately, given the short range, and average speaker and mic, you're probably better off vaping better hardware and carrying your phone around for music and calls.

Again, for me, a neat "gimick" unit that I'll probably use now and then, but certainly not for hard-core vapers - not enough fluid capacity or battery power. Although, it is interesting that someone took the step of extending the utilization of the ecig into a tool - kind of exciting to think of what else could be done with a bluetooth chip in better hardware.

It did come with a bunch of accessories: a lanyard to carry it around, a suction-cup holder/stand, a spare atty, and a charger.
