Description

This is a device designed to control the airflow on tanks. If you are using a tank or other device where the draw is light then this is the solution. The Airflow Controller serves to cover the airflow notches increasing the resistance felt when taking a draw off of your electronic cigarette.

The Airflow Controller screws onto the 510 connector of your electronic cigarette. Attach the Controller first and then attach your tank. With the Controller screwed on all the way down the airflow notches are unimpeded. But as you unscrew the Controller it rises up and starts to cover the airflow holes on the tank. You can adjust it all the way until it is snug under the tank.

  1. Well...

These don't really help with the air flow at all. Maybe on conventional atomizers, but not so much on the newer ones (anything with a tank), also more delicate than I expected. Comes apart too easily. It's built like the 1st generation aerotank airflow setup, which I was unhappy with. But, as a thread protector, it's pretty good, so I'm not totally unhappy with it. Oh, and don't put this on a VTR, seriously. Just don't do it.

  2. I misread but found a definate use for it.

    Posted by C on 15th May 2014

I bought this after a misread but it works great on my drippers that don't quite connect to the head on my KTS. I use it as a intermediary for the two. seamless but not its intended use. If your buying it for airflow control you may be disappointed, its kinda sticky to use for that purpose.

  3. Works fine as a air flow controller; also great for protecting 510 threads

Posted by hazozita on 4th May 2014

While this is intended as an airflow controller (and it works fine for that) I'm using it to protect my 510 threads on my SID from getting damaged (or, I should say, more damaged than they already are). The connector is sealed, which also helps guard against liquid dripping into the connector from a leaky tank. Very pleased.

  4. Guilty of not reading thoroughly....

Posted by Steve on 21st Apr 2014

I thought I read the description for this item thoroughly but apparently my mind just skimmed over it. I thought this was to increase the airflow. I'm glad it was only 3 bucks. I'm sure I'll find a use for it someday.

  5. Works as needed

Simple add on to help save your threads on your device. Don't really use it for airflow...just so I don't have to keep unscrewing from the mod itself.

  6. needs a redesign

Posted by D Dagger on 15th Apr 2014

It works but it is very hard to swivel. The top part of the ring (the part you twist to adjust airflow) is smooth & exactly the same width as the stationary base, plus it's a small part so it's pretty hard to use. When I first got it, it was so tightly screwed together I couldn't turn it at all, I was beginning to think I got a bad one. After some work with a jar gripper, some pliers & vise grips, it loosened up. It worked fine with the aforementioned issues. I'd say it's average due to its design but for the good price I gave it one extra star. It looks great as designed but for ease of use I'd like to see the adjustable part be a tiny bit wider than the base & have some grip, like the edges of a quarter. The kangertech one looks easier to use but of course it's not for 510 threaded tanks.
