New User Info

So you're looking into or just purchased an electronic cigarette and you likely have tons of questions...

We want you to know that we are committed to walking you through the entire experience with your new personal vaporizer (electronic cigarette) and want to make the transition as easy as possible for you. On this page we will attempt to give you the basic knowledge needed to get started so that you can order the correct products that will give you the best chance at making the whole e-cig experience work for you.

Choosing Your E-Cig Device and Hardware

Firstly, when it comes to choosing the hardware necessary to get started, the most convenient and economical route is to purchase one of the starter kits listed here: E-Cigarette Starter Kits. It will come with everything you need to get started (except for the E-Liquid which is purchased separately) so you will have a working e-cig right away. The great news is that almost everything we sell in terms of batteries, tanks, atomizers, cartomizer, clearomizers, etc. is completely compatible and interchangeable with one another. Therefore, once you have a little better understanding of the components and how they work you will be able to easily upgrade your device in the future if you find that e-cigs are working for you. New products are constantly being released and the components do wear out over time so it is likely that your favorite device six months or a year from now will probably be very different from the device you start with. So, the lesson here is that you don't have to worry and agonize over choosing the perfect starter kit from the very beginning because you will almost certainly change and upgrade it in the future anyways.

Setting Up and Using Your E-cig

There are a couple more things that I would like to point out to you as a new user. First, I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch the video that is linked to below. This may not refer specifically to the device that you have, but the concepts are the same with almost every device and it will help you to prepare and optimize your unit prior to use so that you have the best possible experience.

Using Electronic Cigarettes vs. Traditional Cigarettes

Next, you will notice a difference when using an electronic cigarette as opposed to an analog cigarette and that is to be expected. It may take a little time to get used to the "throat hit" sensation or pressing the button each time you take a drag. Don't get discouraged, within a day or two it will become second nature and a couple of weeks in you probably won't even notice it.

Choosing an E-Liquid Flavor

Another thing, we strongly encourage you to try a few flavors and possibly a couple of nicotine levels if you are trying to switch from traditional cigarette to electronic cigarettes. {You will find a chart below to help point you in the right direction as far as e-liquid consumption and nicotine levels.} Finding a flavor you enjoy and can use on a consistant basis is one of the keys to making the switch successful.

Don't be afraid to venture out and try something completely different. Just because the electronic cigarette is an alternative to traditional cigarettes doesn't mean that it has to taste like one. You will find that you can get the same satisfaction of the nicotine delivery and vapor production regardless of which flavor you choose so finding something enjoyable is all that really matters when it comes to flavors. The problem is that everyone is different and has their own personal preference so it may require some trial and error to find your "all-day-vape", but in the end it is well worth the effort. We even offer sampler packs that allow you to try many of our most popular e-liquid flavors without breaking the bank.

Here are a few charts that may help you determine what some flavors taste like:

How Much E-Liquid Do I Need?

One of the most common questions for new users is "How much E-Liquid will I need?". Unfortunately as with many questions in the e-cig world, the answer varies from person to person. In the beginning, until you find a flavor you want to stick with, it is best to purchase smaller bottle sizes so you are not stuck with a big bottle of liquid that you do not enjoy liquid. But, once you find a flavor you like it is much cheaper to buy in bulk and below is a rough guide to help you estimate how long each bottle will last you:

1/2 pack per day = 1ml of e-liquid per day

1 pack per day = 2ml of e-liquid per day

2 packs per day = 3-4 ml of e-liquid per day

However, it should be mentioned that some find that it is easier to up their nicotine level and take fewer drags per day while others enjoy vaping so much that they lower their nicotine level so that they can puff on it more often. Obviously these decisions are personal preferences and will have an effect on the amount of e-liquid that you use so the amounts would need to be adjusted to compensate.

What Nicotine Level Should I Choose for My E-Cig?

Another million dollar questions for new users is "What Nicotine level do I choose?". As for the answer, you guessed it, it can vary from person to person. Once again we've listed a rough guide below to get you started, but feel free to try a couple of different nicotine levels. You may even find that it works best to use one nicotine level in the morning as you get you day started and then switch to a different nicotine level after dinner or before bed. Really, it's all about what works best dto satisfy your nicotine cravings and the only person that can determine what satisfies you is you.
